The daughter of Kim Sung-tae, a Congressman from the Liberty Korea Party, was hired illegally even without applying, and it led to the investigation into illegal recruitment of KT. It was revealed that in 2012, the children of nine high-ranking officials were recruited illegally. The daughter of the former civil affairs secretary-general, who is treated as a vice minister-level official, was also included in the list of illegal recruitment. Prosecutors also found out the list of illegal recruitment, which is an Excel file that displays the name of the special requestors. The prosecutors issued an arrest warrant for Suh Yoo-yeol, former president of KT, who was in charge of personnel affairs for new employees. In the future, the prosecutors will also summon KT Chairman Lee Suk-chae for inquiry.
